  • Country house and vintage style decoration - An invitation to feel good

A home is not just a place to sleep and eat, but a personal retreat where we want to relax, unwind and feel good. The right decoration plays an important role in creating an inviting and cosy atmosphere. Two particularly charming styles are presented below: the country house style and the vintage style.

The country house style - naturalness and cosiness

The country house style is characterised by a warm, natural aesthetic that is inspired by life in the countryside. Materials such as wood, linen and ceramics are typical of this style and give a room a cosy atmosphere. The colour palette of the country house style is characterised by soft, earthy tones, such as beige, light brown, cream, grey or pastel shades.

A central element of the country house style is furniture made of solid wood, which is often rustic and designed with loving details such as carvings or ornaments. A large dining table, where family and friends can dine and chat together, is one of the most important pieces of furniture. Cupboards, chests of drawers and beds are also usually made of sturdy wood and can be complemented with textiles such as cushions, blankets and curtains made of natural materials.

Decorative accessories in country house style include baskets, pottery, lanterns, vases and candlesticks. Plants and flower arrangements are also important elements to emphasise the country flair. Pictures with landscape motifs, animal depictions or farm scenes round off the decoration.

The vintage style - nostalgia and romance

The vintage style is inspired by times past and is characterised by a mixture of antique, reclaimed and new furniture and decorative elements. Different eras and styles are combined to create an individual and nostalgic atmosphere. Colours such as old pink, mint green, cream and soft blue are typical of the vintage style.

Furniture in vintage style can be original antiques or newly manufactured pieces designed in a shabby chic look. Characteristic of this look are worn surfaces, peeling paint and a certain patina that gives the furniture a charming, lived-in character. Handmade furniture or unique items from flea markets and antique shops are often integrated into the furnishings.

Decorative elements in vintage style are diverse and range from porcelain dishes, nostalgic picture frames and mirrors to playful lampshades and much more.
