Children also enjoy the colourful variety and can give free rein to their creativity.

Clay paper available in various colours

Clay paper can be a good choice of sheets, especially for handicrafts. With the help of scissors and glue, you can create many different decorations for every season. You can easily make poinsettias, paper flowers, leaf collages and much more.

Clay paper is more suitable than normal printing paper because it has all the good properties needed for handicrafts. For this reason, these sheets are often referred to as craft paper. But also clay cardboard or photo cardboard are well-known names for clay paper.

It is available in many different colours and sizes. Clairefontaine clay paper, for example, is available in A4 size and offers a wide variety of shades. There are quite a few different shades of blue alone. You can choose between royal blue, medium blue, midnight blue and light blue.

Finally, the colours range from sun yellow to fir green to pale violet. Therefore, almost every tone will probably be hit. But Clairefontaine also offers a whole pack of 100 colourful sheets. Included here is clay paper in many different colours and shades.

    Ideal for crafting with children

Clay paper is the ideal craft paper, especially if you are doing crafts with children. The rough surface of the sheets makes the paper particularly easy to grip, so that it is easier to cut. Moreover, children often find it difficult to cut white paper. Coloured clay paper is therefore a good alternative to start with. The coloured sheets are also very popular, both for painting and printing.

What is so special about clay paper?

The special thing about it is that it is much more suitable for crafting than normal paper. This is because it is more robust and yet has the same grammage. Another advantage is that it can be cut very easily, even though it is very sturdy.

In addition, it can be glued with all adhesives and all other types of paper as well as textiles, leather and plastic adhere well. Due to the rough surface, almost all liquids can adhere well to the clay paper. Furthermore, it is not only suitable for handicrafts, but also for printing, painting, writing and stamping. But it is also very suitable for folding.

Even origami folding is possible with the clay paper. Clairefontaine even offers extra clay paper with a grammage of 80, which makes it more flexible and ideal for folding. In contrast, a grammage of 120 is used for the other toner paper. This is still flexible, but not too thin for crafting and decorating.

However, it is not only the flexibility and stability that is convincing, but also the quality. Because Clairefontaine's toner paper is of high quality and can therefore be processed well. This means that the crafts made from it will last for a long time and can even be hung up or displayed as decorations for many years.
